The UNC football program is set for its biggest test thus far as they host No. 25 ranked Miami in a crucial ACC contest on Saturday night.

A HUGE weekend in Chapel Hill is approaching, as the UNC football program is set for a big-time top-25 matchup against the Miami Hurricanes.

The Tar Heels, coming off a dominating 40-7 victory over Syracuse, are looking to continue its historic start. Sitting at 5-0 for the first time since 1997, a win over the Hurricanes would make North Carolina’s case even stronger to crack the top 10 while adding to a potential College Football Playoff Resume.

As much as this game means to the UNC football program, it means just as much for Miami. The Hurricanes are coming off a disappointing loss to Georgia Tech, a game that was basically handed to the Yellow Jackets. Miami was the headline of the sports world, as head coach Mario Cristobal elected to run a play instead of taking a knee, which resulted in a lost fumble and a Georgia Tech game-winning touchdown.

As we get deeper into the college football regular season, losses can come back to haunt teams as they attempt to reach their ultimate goals. Neither team believes they can afford a loss on Saturday night, as the stakes will be very high in front of a jam-packed crowd at Kenan Stadium.
