The improbable run continues for former UNC baseball standout Zac Gallen and the Arizona Diamondbacks as they advance to the NLCS.
No one expected the Arizona Diamondbacks to be at this point.
Coming into the MLB Postseason as the No. 6 seed, the chances of the Diamondbacks making a run were considered to be slim. However, former UNC baseball star Zac Gallen and the Diamondback continue to defy the odds as they are heading to the National League Championship Series.
THE CHAOS CONTINUES.

Gallen pitched Game 2 of the NLDS against the Los Angeles Dodgers, as he helped play a role in the team sweeping their division rivals, a squad that won 100 games this past season.
With his second win in as many postseason starts, the former Diamond Heel joined Curt Schilling as the only two pitchers in franchise history to win each of their first two postseason starts with the club.

Now, the Diamondbacks hope that they can keep this magical run going as they await the winner of the series between the Atlanta Braves and the Philadelphia Phillies.
At least we know one thing is for sure: we’ll definitely see Zac Gallen on the mound at least one more time this postseason.
