Find out which broadcasting team will be calling the UNC football program’s first conference game of the 2023 regular season on Saturday night.

Mack Brown and the UNC football program will begin conference play as they travel to Pittsburgh for a Saturday night primetime matchup.

The Tar Heels look to improve to 4-0 to start the regular season for the first time since 1997, as they’ll have to go into enemy territory in order to do so. Although the Panthers are coming in with a 1-2 record, this is not a game that North Carolina can afford to overlook.

For the second time this season, the UNC football program will be featured on ACC Network. Fans of the program will likely be happy with the broadcast team that is scheduled to call the game.

Wes Durham and Tim Hasselbeck will be on call in Pittsburgh on Saturday night, as Durham was tabbed during the summer months as the network’s primetime football commentator. He’ll be joined in the booth by Hasselbeck, who is a former Boston College and NFL quarterback. Taylor Tannebaum will also be part of the broadcast on Saturday night.

For fans of the UNC football program, the pairing is a very good one. Not only does Durham have a special connection to the university through his father Woody, who was also known as “the voice of the Tar Heels,” but Hasselbeck should provide some feedback based on his playing experience and knowledge and tie it into what star quarterback Drake Maye is asked to do on the field for North Carolina.
