5. Pat Narduzzi is loyal… but…

Pat Narduzzi is a very loyal coach. He is not one who makes quick decisions based on the pressure that others (cough, the media and fan base) may be putting on him.

However, as much as he says he’s sticking with Phil Jurkovec at quarterback, you have to wonder just how long of a leash he has.

If Jurkovec’s struggles continue into this week, don’t be surprised to see a mid-game quarterback switch for the Panthers. It’s certain that Narduzzi knows the UNC football program struggles with backup quarterbacks, so maybe he will make the switch in hopes of lighting a spark for his team.

The longer he waits, the farther the season may get out of hand. The Panthers want to avoid falling to 1-3, and if Jurkovec can’t get the job done, why not see if one of the team’s other quarterbacks can?
