1. The running game leads the way

West Virginia may have provided the Tar Heels with a blueprint in regard to how to game plan for this contest.

In their 17-6 victory over the Panthers, the Mountaineers threw the ball a total of 9 times, as most of their damage came via the running game.

Of course, West Virginia doesn’t have Drake Maye, but the duo of British Brooks and Omarion Hampton certainly can match the production that CJ Donaldson Jr. and Jaylen Anderson put together.

The duo combined for 164 rushing yards on 37 carries, as North Carolina will likely look to expose this weakness in Pittsburgh’s defense as well. Don’t be surprised if Brooks and Hampton combine for a big week, as the run game will play a big role in the outcome of this conference tilt.
