UNC Football: Kamden Laudenslager commits to North Carolina
Mack Brown and the UNC football program have landed its first defensive commitment from the Class of 2025 in three-star Kamden Laudenslager.
After visiting Chapel Hill for the UNC football program’s game against Appalachian State, three-star edge Kamden Laudenslager quickly decided that he wanted to be a Tar Heel.
Laudenslager revealed his commitment via social media on Tuesday night, making him the first defensive commitment for the UNC football program’s 2025 recruiting class. The Owings Mills, Maryland native chose North Carolina over the likes of Wisconsin, Duke, and a number of other Power 5 schools.
Through two games of his junior season, Laudenslager has recorded 17 total tackles, seven tackles for loss, six sacks, and three fumble recoveries. He is already on pace to surpass last season’s production, as he recorded 59 total tackles, seven tackles for loss, and five sacks in nine games as a sophomore.
Currently, 247Sports Composite views Laudenslager as a three-star prospect and the No. 19 overall player from the state of Maryland. He is also regarded as the No. 36 overall edge rusher among his graduating class.
It is still very early in the process, but this is a nice addition to the UNC football program’s recruiting class. Laudenslager’s addition gives the Tar Heels two verbal commitments in this class, as he joins quarterback Bryce Baker as the first two student-athletes to pledge to North Carolina.
