Courtney Banghart and the UNC women’s basketball program are among the four finalists for Class of 2024 standout Adhel Tac.

This week, Class of 2024 standout Adhel Tac announced her four finalists in her recruitment process.

Fortunately, Courtney Banghart and the UNC women’s basketball program are still very much in the mix.

Tac has narrowed her recruitment down to North Carolina, South Carolina, Louisville, and Georgia. With this announcement, it’s safe to say that Tac’s overall recruitment process is coming closer to the finish line.

The Grand Prairie, Texas native is one of the top players in the Class of 2024, as she currently is ranked by HoopGurlz as the No. 33 overall prospect. Tac is one of the highest-rising prospects in the class, as it’s possible that she can push for a top-30 spot (which would make her a five-star prospect) before her high school career comes to a close.

As a player, Tac is a true center. At six-foot-five, Tac possesses height that isn’t often seen in women’s college basketball, and she uses it to her advantage. She is an above-average rebounder and rim protector, and although she’s not overly skilled as a scorer, she uses her size and physicality to get her fair share of baskets.

For a player of her size, she uses her athleticism well, as she is very capable of running the floor in an effort to help get second chances on offense or to protect the rim on defense.

With Blanca Thomas and Jordan Zubich already committed to the UNC women’s basketball program, Tac would be a huge addition to this already talented recruiting class. Given what the Tar Heels brought in with their 2023 class, the program can follow it up with another strong recruiting class, proving that Courtney Banghart and company are building something very special in Chapel Hill.
