Brooklyn Decker

Swimsuit model Brooklyn Decker takes her UNC basketball passion very seriously.

When Decker earned the honor of being the cover model for the 2010 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition, it came at an unfortunate time, given the Tar Heels had just missed the NCAA Tournament.

In an interview at the time with the New York Times, Decker was asked about the disappointing season of the UNC basketball program and the timing of her being on the publication’s cover:

"Q. You make the cover of Sports Illustrated and a month later, your beloved Tar Heels miss the N.C.A.A. tournament. A. It’s just a tough year for my Heels. They’re a young team, they have great players and amazing freshmen coming in, so I think they’ll grow into themselves next year. Q. Did the joy of making the S.I. cover ease the pain of North Carolina’s lackluster season? A. Absolutely!! My Heels got an S.I. cover around the same time last year, so I’m happy that I could bring another one home to North Carolina."

When it comes time for UNC basketball season, just know that Brooklyn Decker will be more than ready to cheer on the Tar Heels.
