Odell Beckham Jr.

During the Tar Heels 2017 National Championship run, OBJ made it clear that the UNC basketball program is his team and showed his support at the Final Four in Arizona.

After North Carolina beat Gonzaga to claim another National Championship, he attended the afterparty with the players to congratulate them. Former point guard Joel Berry admitted he’s a big OBJ fan and got to hang out with him after winning the Final Four’s Most Outstanding Player award.

Beckham Jr. played football at LSU, but he grew up a UNC Basketball fan. The stellar athlete even attended Roy Williams’ Basketball camp at a young age and from there fell in love with the program.

Following the Tar Heels’ title run, Beckham told USA Today that the only way he would have become a basketball player was if he received an offer from Williams and UNC:

"“I always said if I ever was to play basketball or pursue basketball, the only way is if I had an offer from UNC to play basketball. I went to Roy Williams’ camp when I was younger. I still remember walking in there and everything like that. I’ve just always been a UNC fan.”"

Beckham didn’t end up playing basketball, but things worked out for him in the long run with what is a successful NFL career so far. Even while starting a new chapter with the Baltimore Ravens, expect Beckham to keep close tabs on the UNC basketball program this season.
