Week Eight: Virginia

Delahanty:

Thank goodness this game is in Chapel Hill.

The Tar Heels tend to struggle when they make the trip to Charlottesville, Virginia, but fortunately, Kenan Stadium will host this year’s matchup.

Give me the Tar Heels in a comfortable fashion.

Prediction: North Carolina 38, Virginia 20 (Record: 4-3)

Falls:

The South’s Oldest Rivalry was a close one in Charlottesville, Virginia last season, where the Tar Heels always seem to struggle. Luckily for Carolina, this one is in Chapel Hill, and I don’t see them struggling much against the team picked to finish last in the Atlantic Coast Conference this year.

Prediction: North Carolina 35, Virginia 17 (Record: 5-2)

Ebersbach:

Virginia did not have many bright points, if any last season as they went 3-7 and a measly 1-6 in ACC play. The Cavaliers added a couple of transfers to their starting lineup including former Clemson running back Kobe Pace. This nonetheless will not be much help as there just does not seem to be any hope for Virginia as they are predicted to finish last in the ACC Preseason rankings. The Tar Heels will walk away with the win fairly easily, with hopes to see some of the young talent on the roster.

Prediction: North Carolina 56, Virginia 13 (Record: 6-1)
