Week Thirteen: AT NC State

Delahanty:

At this point, I think the Tar Heels will fall just short of the ACC title game. However, this game will still mean a lot in regard to potential bowl games.

I expect the UNC football program to finish the season on a strong note, as a win in the home of one of your rivals is always satisfying.

Prediction: North Carolina 42, NC State 38

Final Regular Season Record: 8-4 (5-3)

Falls:

Just like the Duke game, an emphasis is placed on the last game of the season against in-state rival NC State. Last year’s game to end the season is stuck in the back of the minds of all UNC football players and fans alike. This game will also be for the Tar Heels to return to the ACC Championship game for the second year in a row. With a loss, Florida State will go in their place.

Carolina gets revenge on the Wolfpack for the loss last season and earns their second straight trip to an ACC Championship game for a rematch with Clemson.

Prediction: North Carolina 45, NC State 35

Final Regular Season Record: 9-3 (6-2)

Ebersbach:

NC State narrowly beat North Carolina in double-overtime last season with a final score of 27-20. This is a game that The Tar Heels simply should not have lost this game so they will be looking for revenge. North Carolina should play this game to perfection as they are going into this game as an older and improved squad. I believe this will be the year North Carolina plays near-perfectly from the first quarter to the fourth quarter. I predict a double-digit win in a huge game in the season for North Carolina.

Prediction: North Carolina 42, NC State 28

Final Regular Season Record: 10-2 (7-1)
