Former UNC basketball star Luke Maye had some fun with his younger brother Drake as he reminded him of his success in Chapel Hill with a playful jab.

The Maye legacy is one that is very well-known at the University of North Carolina.

From Mark to Drake, Tar Heels fans have enjoyed (and continue to enjoy) some memorable moments that the family has accomplished in Carolina Blue.

Luke, one of the Carolina legacy brothers, may have the upper hand on the rest of the family, as he secured a National Championship with the UNC basketball program in 2017. The former UNC basketball star makes sure that his family remembers this fact, as he recently made a playful jab towards his younger brother Drake, the star quarterback of the UNC football program.

As part of the ACC Network’s All-Access with Carolina Football, Luke and Drake were shown golfing together. Luke elected to use his 2017 national championship ring as his ball marker, which was a huge flex and served as a playful moment for the Maye brothers.

Of course, Drake would love to lead the UNC football program to a national championship of his own before he eventually departs for the NFL. Not that he needed a reminder, but Luke’s use of his national title ring on the golf course may have added some motivation for the younger Maye, who would love to even the score with his brother.

You have to love the competitive (yet playful) energy that the Maye family possesses. Luke knows what it takes to succeed in Chapel Hill, as he definitely wants his brother to experience that same success. If Drake is able to accomplish this goal, we can’t wait to see if more playful banter is on the way!
