UNC Basketball: James Brown invited to 2023 Formula Zero Elite Camp
The UNC basketball commit is one of 20 high school prospects to be invited to this year’s Formula Zero Elite Camp, hosted by Damian Lillard.
Hubert Davis and the UNC basketball program have already put together one of the top recruiting classes in the 2024 cycle.
Even with Elliot Cadeau re-classifying to join this year’s team, the Tar Heels still have three very good commits set to head to Chapel Hill next summer.
Although Ian Jackson and Drake Powell have drawn most of the attention, don’t sleep on big man James Brown, who has earned an invitation to the 2023 Formula Zero Elite Camp.
Brown is one of just 20 high school players that have been selected for this year’s event, one that is hosted by NBA superstar Damian Lillard. The future Tar Heel will not only have the opportunity to compete against some of the country’s top talents but also will have the chance to learn from an NBA veteran who has put together a very successful professional career.
As he’ll finish out his high school career at Link Academy (the former home of Cadeau), Brown will be a player to watch as UNC basketball fans await his arrival on campus. By that time, don’t be surprised to see Brown make a jump up the recruiting rankings, as a big senior season could put him in contention to potentially become a five-star recruit.
