Find out the potential matchups for Hubert Davis and the UNC basketball program in the 2023 Battle 4 Atlantis tournament.

Hubert Davis and the UNC basketball program are heading to the Bahamas.

North Carolina will compete in the Battle 4 Atlantis tournament from November 22-24. The Tar Heels are part of a eight-team field that includes Arkansas, Memphis, Michigan, Northern Iowa,  Villanova, Stanford, and Texas Tech.

On Wednesday, the official bracket for the tournament was released, as we now know who the Tar Heels will face in the opening round.

The UNC basketball program will play in the opening game of the event, as they’ll take on Northern Iowa on November 22 at 12:00 EST. If the Tar Heels go on to win their opening matchup, they will play the winner of the following game, Villanova and Texas Tech, at the same time on the following day.

This event should be a great early test for the UNC basketball program, as they’ve reached the point in which they can be apart of the event once again.

The 2023-2024 season will mark as the four-year span for the Tar Heels need to re-enter the Battle 4 Atlantis, as they last appeared in the event back in November 2019. In that event, the UNC basketball program, led by the likes of Garrison Brooks, Cole Anthony, and Armando Bacot, finished third overall after winning two of their three contests.

Bacot will have another opportunity to compete in the Battle 4 Atlantis, as the goal is to win the whole daggum thing this time around.
