Scott Forbes and the UNC baseball program put together one of the top recruiting classes in the country for the incoming Class of 2023.
For college baseball programs across the country, the recruiting cycle serves as a way to reload a roster after losing players from the previous yearβs squad.
Scott Forbes and the UNC baseball program have plenty of reloading to do, as they lost the likes of Mac Horvath, Max Carlson, and Tomas Frick to the MLB Draft as well as a handful of transfers and graduates.
High school talent plays a large role in the reloading process, as the Diamond Heels rank among the top 2023 recruiting classes in the country.

Even with Walker Jenkins and Zyhir Hope heading to the pros, North Carolina has 19 incoming freshmen joining this yearβs roster. Along with some notable transfer additions, Forbes and company have a lot of new talent to work with as the Tar Heels aim to make a run to Ohama this upcoming season.
