The four-star wide receiver prospect from Greensboro, North Carolina becomes the latest 2024 prospect to commit to the UNC football program.

Add another player to the already impressive 2024 recruiting class for Mack Brown and the UNC football program.

The latest addition comes in the form of four-star wide receiver prospect Alex Taylor. The Greensboro, North Carolina native is ranked by 247Sports as the No. 3 overall prospect from his home state and the No. 26 overall wide receiver in his graduating class.

Taylor chose the Tar Heels over his other four finalists: Clemson, NC State, Penn State, and Virginia Tech. He made the announcement official during a ceremony held at Grimsley High School.

When asked why he chose North Carolina, here’s what Taylor told Chad Simmons of On3:

"“I just kept comparing North Carolina to other schools. I just kept talking to them and on the official, it just felt like home being there with the other guys who were committed. It was just that feeling and it was a great experience being around those guys.”"

This is a big-time addition to the UNC football program, as Taylor is a playmaking wide receiver who could be an impact player from the minute he arrives on campus. His relationship with wide receivers coach Lonnie Galloway played a big role in his recruitment, as the Tar Heels made him feel as if he was a priority to them.

With the addition of Taylor, the UNC football program’s 2024 recruiting class now has 25 hard commits up to this point. Give a ton of credit to Brown and his staff, as they’ve done an extremely nice job with this given recruiting class up to this point.
