Big Ten

The Big Ten Conference has developed into one of the most competitive college basketball conferences in the country.

As it’s grown to a state where anything could happen during conference play, it’s a group that teams don’t necessarily want to see come March Madness time.

For the Tar Heels, they have yet to see a handful of Big Ten squads in the big dance:

Iowa
Maryland
Minnesota
Nebraska
Northwestern
Rutgers

Given the quality of this conference, you’d have to think that the Tar Heels’ best chance to knock some teams off their list would come from this conference.

Who knows, maybe a contest against the Iowa Hawkeyes is on the horizon, or maybe they’ll see old friend Dawson Garcia and Minnesota in the tournament. It’s possible that Rutgers, which seems to be up-and-coming, might make some noise and end up taking on the Tar Heels at some point.
