Big-12, Pac-12 and SEC

Of these conferences, the UNC basketball program has seen plenty of matchups against them.

For the Big-12, the only schools the Tar Heels have yet to battle in March Madness competition are TCU and West Virginia.

In the case of the Pac-12, only Arizona State and Oregon State haven’t taken the court against North Carolina.

A trio of SEC programs have avoided North Carolina, as Mississippi State, Ole Miss, and Vanderbilt have yet to see the Tar Heels in March.

Given the success that each of these conferences has seen, it’s not a surprise that the Tar Heels have matched up with the majority of these conferences. Over the next couple of years, it will be interesting to see if North Carolina can cross off every program from at least one of these conferences, as the Big-12 and Pac-12 have a one-team lead over the SEC.
