UNC Basketball: Hubert Davis’ 2023 Summer Press Conference
What did the UNC basketball program’s head coach have to say during his summer press conference this week in Chapel Hill?
For the first time since the end of the 2022-2023 regular season, UNC basketball head coach Hubert Davis was made available to the media as part of a summer press conference.

Davis, who is set to enter his third season as the program’s head coach, was dressed in a shirt and tie, not to impress the media but because he came directly from the memorial services for former Tar Heel Cecil Exum.
During the press conference, Davis spoke about a variety of different topics. From the disappointing end of the 2022-2023 season to the addition of some key players via the transfer portal and the overall roster construction/process of the Tar Heels 2023-2024 roster, the UNC basketball program’s leader provided some insight that will give fans some knowledge as to where the program is at this given point.
