Courtney Banghart and the UNC women’s basketball program have extended an offer to a Class of 2024 four-star prospect from Idaho.

The Class of 2023 brought in a large recruiting class for Courtney Banghart and the UNC women’s basketball program, a factor that makes you wonder just how many spots are available in the Class of 2024.

Blanca Thomas and Jordan Zubich are currently a two-player recruiting class, but is it possible that it can increase?

Based on recent information, the Tar Heels aren’t finished recruiting within this graduating class.

North Carolina has extended a scholarship offer to Avery Howell, a four-star guard from the state of Idaho. Currently, Howell sits as the No. 45 overall prospect in the Class of 2024 (according to HoopGurlz).

Howell is an intriguing prospect who has impressed on the AAU Circuit. The rising senior’s 3SSB Session one highlights give a glimpse of what the talented guard is capable of doing on the basketball court.

With the current landscape of college basketball, there are no more such things as “guarantees” in terms of future rosters. In fact, even for programs that believe they will retain most of their current roster, it’s not a lock that players will elect to stay.

Banghart has shown that the Tar Heels will continue to pursue the best talent available, so it shouldn’t be a surprise that the recruiting Class of 2024 is still a work in progress. In fact, expect the UNC women’s basketball program to be a strong competitor for Howell, as they hope she’ll be the next player who decides to make her way to Chapel Hill.
