Believe it or not, UNC football has never played these FBS teams

UNC Football vs. Sun Belt Conference

Another conference that the UNC football program hasn’t seen much of is the Sun Belt Conference, as the Tar Heels haven’t seen over half of the teams in the conference:

Arkansas State
Coastal Carolina
Louisiana
South Alabama
Southern Miss
Texas State
Troy
ULM

Approximately three hours and 20 minutes away, it’s rather surprising that the UNC football program hasn’t competed against Coastal Carolina yet. If you’re looking for potential future Sun Belt Conference opponents look no further than The Chanticleer, who make sense from a geographical standpoint.

The Tar Heels just recently completed a home-and-home with Georgia State, as they could be looking within this conference for another potential home-and-home series in the future.
