UNC basketball star Deja Kelly trades her Carolina Blue for red, white, and blue as she’ll look to help Team USA win a third consecutive AmeriCup title.

Deja Kelly is ready to help Team USA defend its consecutive AmeriCup titles as pool play in the 2023 event kicks off on July 1.

The UNC basketball star will be making her Team USA debut on Saturday in León, Mexico. Kelly and Team USA will be taking on Venezuela in their Group A opener.

Kelly, a rising senior at the University of North Carolina, was recently named to the Team USA squad after a training camp in Colorado Springs. After earning a spot on the roster, Kelly and her teammates focused on the task at hand, which is continuing the country’s success in this event.

After their opening game on Saturday afternoon, Team USA will take on Argentina on Sunday. They’ll have an off day on Monday prior to meeting Brazil (Tuesday) and Cuba (Wednesday) to conclude pool play.
