Mack Brown and the UNC football program have landed a commitment from Bryce Baker, an in-state quarterback prospect in the Class of 2025.

The recruiting success continues for Mack Brown and the UNC football program.

Four-star quarterback Bryce Baker has announced his commitment to the Tar Heels. The Class of 2025 signal-caller chose North Carolina over the likes of Boston College, Duke, Maryland, NC State, Penn State, Virginia Tech, and Wake Forest.

Baker is currently ranked by 247Sports Composite as the No. 15 overall quarterback in his class. He sits at No. 6 among North Carolina prospects, as he’s viewed as the top quarterback available in his home state from this graduating class.

Over the last couple of months, Baker has risen nicely up the recruiting rankings. After a season as the starting quarterback for Walkertown High School in Walkertown, North Carolina, the future Tar Heel transferred this offseason to East Forsyth, one of the top programs in the area.

Baker was one of the UNC football program’s top Class of 2025 targets, as they focused on keeping him within his home state. Even though NC State was trending as his likely destination down the stretch, the Tar Heels were able to convince him that Chapel Hill was the right place for him to compete at the college level.

Give a lot of credit to Mack Brown and his team, as they’ve done a great job on the recruiting trail over the last few weeks. The hope is that the recruiting success will continue, especially over the next couple of months.
