The incoming UNC basketball freshman is projected as one of the top-rated players in this early 2024 NBA Mock Draft projection.

As one of the top prospects in the country, incoming UNC basketball freshman Elliot Cadeau has drawn a ton of attention leading up to his freshman season in Chapel Hill.

Cadeau elected to reclassify to join the Class of 2023, as many feel that he is more than ready for the next level. Even though he hasn’t played a game for the Tar Heels yet, many project that Cadeau will end up being a one-and-done player.

With the 2023 NBA Draft in the past, it’s never too early to look ahead to next year’s potential draft class (right?). It’s not too early for SB Nation, as they released their top 30 prospects up to this point.

The UNC basketball point guard was ranked No. 14 on the list, as he’s the second-highest-rated ACC player among the rankings. There are seven players who are heading into their freshman seasons ahead of Cadeau, including the likes of Isaiah Collier, DJ Wagner, and Bronny James.

Of course, these mock drafts don’t ultimately mean much, as plenty will change before the 2024 NBA Draft comes along. However, they serve as a friendly reminder of how much hype there is surrounding Elliot Cadeau as he prepares for his freshman season with the UNC basketball program.

Don’t be surprised to see Cadeau’s name floating around in plenty of mock drafts over the next couple of months: this one is just the beginning.
