UNC basketball top scorer No. 2: Phil Ford (1974-1978)
- Career Points: 2290
- Points Per-Game: 18.6
When you talk about legendary UNC basketball point guards, it’s impossible not to include Phil Ford.
Ford did a little bit of everything for the Tar Heels, as he was a tremendous scorer and facilitator. He was the Tar Heels leading scorer in three of his four seasons on campus, as he finished his collegiate career just short of the 2,300-point mark.
For most programs, Ford’s scoring output would be safely secure at the top of the leaderboard.
However, not every program has a player like UNC basketball’s all-time leading scorer.
