UNC basketball top scorer No. 9: Brad Daugherty (1982-1986)

  • Career Points: 1912
  • Points Per-Game: 14.2

As his role expanded, Brad Daugherty became one of the most dominant players in all of college basketball.

His UNC basketball career took off during his junior season, as he averaged 17.3 points per game as the team’s leading scorer. He didn’t slow down during his senior year, as he once again led the team with 20.2 points per contest en route to a 28-win season.

Daughtery was efficient and effective, connecting on 62 percent of his career attempts at North Carolina. The seven-footer is a prime example of a player who made the most of his opportunity with the UNC basketball program.
