UNC basketball top scorer No. 1: Tyler Hansbrough (2005-2009)

  • Career Points: 2872
  • Points Per-Game: 20.2

If you try to define “dominant” at the college basketball level, Tyler Hansbrough is the dadgum definition of it.

Although some of Hansbrough’s records have been surpassed, his career points mark is one that looks like it will be safe for quite some time. With the current landscape of college basketball, this is a record that may not ever be even challenged.

Hansbrough burst onto the scene as a freshman and put together an illustrious four-year career in Chapel Hill. He ended his career in grand style, leading the Roy Williams-led Tar Heels to the national title during the 2008-2009 season.

“Psycho T” cemented himself as one of (if not the) greatest player in UNC basketball history, as he put himself on top of the program’s all-time scoring list with plenty of comfort room.
