UNC Football: Drake Maye teams up with Jimmy’s Famous Seafood
UNC football star Drake Maye and some of his notable offensive weapons have earned a unique NIL deal with a very popular food company.
Jimmy’s Famous Seafood is no stranger to working with North Carolina Tar Heels Athletes.
The Maryland-based food company first partnered with star basketball player Armando Bacot, and is now hitting the gridiron for its next partnership opportunity.
In collaboration with Heels4Life, the official Name, Image, and Likeness collective of UNC Football, Jimmy’s Seafood announced its new partnership with UNC football star quarterback Drake Maye. This new partnership, which will run from June through December of this year, also features six of Maye’s wide receivers: Gavin Blackwell, Andre Greene Jr., J.J. Jones, Nate McCollum, Kobe Paysour, and Tez Walker.
According to the official press release, Maye and the Tar Heels wide receivers will help promote the company’s meal prep service on social media. They receive weekly meals from Jimmy’s Famous Meals for the remainder of 2023 as well.
Maye seems to be very excited about this new partnership that he and his teammates have secured:
"“I’m excited for Jimmys Seafood to partner with Heels4Life and work with me and my teammates. They are stepping up big to support us. Looking forward to the meals coming!”"
UNC football fans can help Maye and his teammates make commission off this partnership.
All seven athletes will be provided with their own promo code that they can promote on social media. The promo codes will offer users an opportunity to earn 25% off on their first order. The players will receive a commission on the sales made with their respective promo codes.
The world of NIL has changed the landscape of college athletics, but it’s great to see some of the UNC football program’s standouts making the most of the opportunities that are there for them.
