UNC Football: Curtis Simpson commits to North Carolina
For the third consecutive day, Mack Brown and the UNC football program have added a student-athlete to its 2024 recruiting class.
Another day, another player commitment for Mack Brown and the UNC Football program.
The latest addition to the Tar Heels 2024 recruiting class is three-star in-state product, Curtis Simpson. The Kings Mountain, North Carolina native is ranked by 247Sports Composite as the No. 23 overall player from his state.
A 6-foot-4, 205-pound athlete, Simpson has been a two-way player during his high school career. He spent some time playing wide receiver on offense while taking snaps at defensive end and outside linebacker on the other side of the football. Not only is he a standout on the football field, but spends his winters playing basketball at the varsity level.
With 16 current commits, the UNC football program has jumped into 247Sports‘ Top 10 rankings for the 2024 recruiting cycle. At this point, 15 of the 16 players that have pledged to the Tar Heels rank as three-stars, as the program will look to secure some potential four and five-star talents before this class heads to Chapel Hill.
Give credit to Mack Brown and his staff, as they’ve done a great job within this class so far. Although the class lacks top-tier talent, the Tar Heels have secured some very good athletes who can have a major impact on the program once they arrive on campus.
