Details for the second annual Jumpman Classic have been released, as the UNC basketball programs will both compete in the two-day event.

If you’re looking for an opportunity to see both of the UNC basketball programs this season, mark down December 19 and 20 on your calendars!

For the second straight year, North Carolina will compete in the Jumpman Classic, which will be held in Charlotte. Both the men’s and women’s teams are slated to take on Oklahoma at this year’s event.

Courtney Banghart and the UNC women’s basketball program will open the event on December 19, as they’ll play prior to the men’s contest between Florida and Michigan.

The following day will be the opposite regarding scheduling, as Hubert Davis and the UNC basketball program will play the Sooners following the conclusion of the women’s battle between the Gators and Wolverines.

Game times and television information are expected to be announced at a later date.

The Jumpman Classic will be a great test for North Carolina, as both teams have high expectations heading into the 2023-2024 season.

Banghart’s squad will take on a Sooners team that is coming off a 26-7 season but was similarly eliminated in the second round of the NCAA Tournament. This contest could be an early season bout between two teams that aspire to make deep postseason runs come March.

For Davis’ team, they’ll face an Oklahoma team that, like the Tar Heels, looks to avenge a disappointing 2022-2023 season. Don’t let the Sooners’ under .500 record from last season fool you: this will certainly be a great early-season test for North Carolina.
