UNC Basketball: There’s one thing Theo Pinson misses about college
With his UNC basketball career in the past, there’s still one thing that former standout Theo Pinson misses from his college days.
When high school basketball players (and even transfers) commit to playing for the UNC basketball program, one of the enticing things is the amount of big-time games those players would eventually compete in.
As we all know, it doesn’t get much bigger than the North Carolina vs. Duke rivalry.
On the “Run Your Race” live stream for Game 6 of the Eastern Conference Finals, former UNC basketball standout Theo Pinson discussed the rivalry, stating that playing in those games is the one thing that he misses from his college days.
Pinson saw plenty of this rivalry as he competed in 9 contests against the Blue Devils over his UNC basketball career. In fact, Pinson played against Duke more than he did any other ACC program, with NC State (seven games) being the next closest.
If anyone could tell you about the rivalry, it’s certainly Pinson. During his time in Chapel Hill, the rivalry was very strong, as both programs were not only very competitive but battled in some very intense games that fans of both programs will remember for quite some time.
