Scottie Pippen had some very interesting things to say about his former teammate and legendary UNC basketball player, Michael Jordan.

Former Chicago Bulls player Scottie Pippen appeared on Stacey King’s “Give Me the Hot Sauce” podcast and had some very negative things to say about his former teammate Michael Jordan.

While getting into the “G.O.A.T” talk, Pippen essentially stated that LeBron James is the greatest statistical player to ever play the game. He then went on a bit of a rant about Jordan, the UNC basketball and NBA legend, about how he was “a horrible player” prior to Pippen’s arrival in Chicago.

First, we suggest you take a listen to this snippet of the podcast:

Of course, everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but Pippen should really fact-check before he makes bold statements like the one he made on this show.

Before Pippen even arrived in Chicago, Jordan was already a three-time All-Star and led the league in scoring in 1986-1987. To say he was a “horrible player” was simply just a false narrative.

Now, let’s talk about him being a “horrible teammate.” If Jordan was so terrible to work with, why was Pippen calling for Jordan to return to the Bulls on national television when Pippen led the organization to a 23-25 record to begin the 1994-1995 season?!

Is Pippen sour about how he was portrayed in “The Last Dance,” where the world essentially saw how he quit on the Bulls when he refused to have his surgery during the summer to rehab in time for the upcoming season? Are the speculations of Jordan’s son dating Pippen’s ex-wife getting the better of Scottie?

At this point, who knows?

What we do know is this: Scottie Pippen can say what he wants about Jordan as a teammate, but to say that he was a “horrible player” is the furthest thing from the truth.

Let’s not forget: without MJ, there’s no Scottie.

Carry on.
