Former UNC Basketball guard Caleb Love has now been linked to a new set of schools following the announcement he wouldn’t be attending Michigan.

Just when we thought all the transfer portal drama was over, former UNC basketball guard Caleb Love announced last week that he would not attend the University of Michigan next season. It has been speculated that Love’s decision not to attend Michigan is not his own and was forced by the Michigan admissions office when they denied him admittance to the university.

That’s all in the past for Love, though; he is looking for a new school for his senior, and potentially extra, season. After the news came out regarding Michigan, it was speculated that the two schools that would be in the running for the St. Louis native would be Missouri and Indiana; both schools were involved during his original recruitment when he committed to Michigan.

However, there has now been new information on three different schools involved with the former UNC basketball guard.

Texas, Arizona, and Gonzaga are the latest schools to be announced that are involved in Love’s recruitment. There’s one school on this list with UNC basketball ties and one that Tar Heel fans will recognize. Former UNC basketball and Roy Williams assistant, Steve Robinson is an assistant on the staff in Tuscon with Arizona.

Does that give the Wildcats a leg up in the recruitment of Love? Maybe. Nonetheless, it shouldn’t be a surprise to anyone to see Caleb linked to major power five schools that have had some basketball success as of late. We will continue to follow the recruitment of Love.
