After committing to the University of Michigan last month, former UNC Basketball guard Caleb Love has decided to re-enter the transfer portal.

It has been over a month since former UNC basketball player Caleb Love announced he would be committing to the University of Michigan on April 7th.

Just two weeks ago, there was a rumor that Love would be de-committing from Michigan and going elsewhere, and UNC basketball fans on social media speculated that the guard famous for ending Coach K’s career would be returning to Chapel Hill.

Love quickly shot down those rumors with a response tweet on the same day…

Now, two weeks later, Love has officially re-entered the transfer portal.

It’s been a roller coaster ride for Love, and any college basketball fans following the transfer portal saga around the former UNC basketball guard.

Where could Love be going now?

Could he return to Chapel Hill?

This is highly unlikely with the guards that have already been brought in to replace last year’s roster and with the speculation and assumption that Elliot Cadeau will reclassify from the Class of 2024 and join next year’s 2023-24 roster. If you’re a UNC basketball fan that would like to see Love return, I wouldn’t hold your breath.

At one point in his recruitment after he entered the portal the first time around, Love was linked to another Big Ten school in Indiana. There was also a crystal ball prediction that the St. Louis native could return to his home state and play for Missouri. Will one of those schools re-emerge as the favorite for Love? Or will someone swoop in from the outside and begin recruiting him even more?

Love did a lot for UNC basketball fans and hit a lot of big shots in his career and we will always wish him the best in his career no matter where he goes!
