UNC Football: Major EA Sports College Football game news!

With EA Sports set to release a new college football video game next year, it’s likely you’ll see some of your favorite UNC football players in the game.

Gamers have dreamed about a new college football video game for years now, as it’s been almost 10 years since the last version was released.

A new game, created by EA Sports, is expected to be released in 2024. Although we have to wait a while for the game to go live, we did receive some pretty cool news regarding it.

FBS football players are going to have the opportunity to be included in the new college football game. EA Sports and OneTeam have agreed to a partnership to help handle the NIL rights for any player who is deemed eligible to be included.

Players who elect to be placed in the game will be compensated, although the details, such as how much a given athlete will receive and the structure of payments, are still a work in progress.

If a player does not want to be in the game, EA Sports would create a generic avatar and player in that respective athlete’s place, which is similar to the format that was followed in previous games.

When the company announced the return of the college football video game in 2021, many questions surrounded how it would work with the new name, image, and likeness rules. However, it seems as if these concerns are being addressed, as fans will have the opportunity to compete with their favorite players.

UNC football fans would love for the game to come out this year, as they would have a lot of fun playing as star quarterback Drake Maye. However, the game could possibly include some historic rosters which would give the fans the opportunity to compete with some of college football’s biggest legends.

The anticipation for the return of the college football video game series is rising, as this bit of information is huge not only for the student-athletes but for the game as a whole.
