UNC Football: Kaj Sanders announces Top 10 schools
Another one of the UNC football program’s recruiting targets is heating up his recruitment, as Kaj Sanders recently announced his top 10 schools.
Ryan Ward started the connection between the state of New Jersey and the UNC football program when he committed a few weeks back.
Could another New Jersey standout be next?
Recently, three-star athlete Kaj Sanders announced his top 10 list, one that in fact includes North Carolina. As the Tar Heels remain in the mix, the Bergen Catholic standout is expected to make an official visit to Chapel Hill beginning on June 11.
Sanders is a two-way player for the Crusaders, as his speed and athleticism make him an elite playmaker on both sides of the ball. This past season on offense, the rising senior carried the ball 32 times for 261 yards and three touchdowns. On defense, Sanders made 40 tackles and produced three interceptions as a member of the team’s secondary.
Not only is Sanders a standout on the football field but has also become a track and field star. According to 247Sports, he has personal bests of 11.27 (100 meters) and 22.55 (200 meters) and also set a school record as a member of the 4X100 relay team with a time of 41.93 seconds.
Don’t expect a decision from Sanders right away, as he has set July 30th as his commitment date. If the UNC football program is able to secure a commitment, it’s likely that Sanders will become a member of the team’s secondary (as a safety), as his speed could also make him a potential weapon on special teams as well.
