UNC Basketball duo attend Kentucky Derby in style!
After you see what Armando Bacot and RJ Davis wore to the Kentucky Derby, you may think they were inspired by their former UNC basketball coach!
The stars were out for the annual Kentucky Derby on Saturday afternoon, as the UNC basketball program was well-represented by two of its current stars.
Armando Bacot and RJ Davis took in the festivities, as they were joined by Hunter Dickinson (now a Kansas Jayhawk) and Kentucky star big man Oscar Tshiebwe.
If you’re not familiar with the Kentucky Derby, it is the oldest continuously running sports event in the nation. Those who attend the event to watch the Thoroughbreds compete for the annual title, tend to dress up for the occasion.
After seeing what Bacot and Davis wore, you may think their look seems familiar.
Could former head coach Roy Williams have inspired the style choices of the UNC basketball duo?!
During his tenure as the Tar Heels head coach, Williams was known for wearing suit jackets that are very similar to what Davis and Bacot sported at the event. If you need some proof, take a look at this photo below from Williams’ retirement press conference, as Bacot’s suit jacket from the Kentucky Derby has a very similar look.
Even if it wasn’t intentional, it’s very cool to see the UNC basketball duo giving off “Roy Williams vibes” with their outfits. Either way, we’re certain that Williams would approve of their outfit choices for the event.
