In UNC basketball recruiting news, the Tar Heels may have the upper edge if they decide to pursue this Class of 2026 prospect.
The focus right now is on the Class of 2024 and 2025 in the recruiting world, but it’s never too early to take a look at what the Class of 2026 has to offer.
Cameron Lomax has been drawing attention during the first two sessions of the Nike EYBL, as his Proskills E15 squad is off to a 5-2 start over their first seven contests.

‘26 G Cameron Lomax displayed high-level ball-handling and an ability to get to his spots today in Phoenix. Coupled with above-the-rim finishing and crafty moves in the open court. An intriguing blend of shot-making, quickness & pace of play. pic.twitter.com/NDRe6e0EyY
When the time comes, the UNC basketball recruiting team may ultimately have an upper hand in his recruitment, as Lomax tabbed North Carolina as his “dream school” in an interview with Pro Insight.

Lomax stated that he would “love to be there (North Carolina),” as it appears that the Class of 2026 guard believes he’d be a great fit with the Tar Heels. We have plenty of time left in his recruitment (as is with all the Class of 2026 standouts), but it will be interesting to see if there is mutual interest from the UNC basketball recruiting team down the road.
