UNC Basketball Recruiting: Tar Heels offer five-star Darryn Peterson
Hubert Davis and the UNC basketball recruiting team have extended an offer to one of the best prospects in the Class of 2025.
We’ve all talked a lot about how loaded the UNC basketball recruiting Class of 2024 is. However, it’s never too early to look ahead to what the Class of 2025 can offer the Tar Heels.
According to Alex Karamanos of The Circuit, North Carolina has extended an offer to five-star guard Darryn Peterson. The Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio native becomes the second player in this class that the Tar Heels have extended an offer to, as he follows fellow five-star guard Isiah Harwell.
Peterson is considered a top-five player in his graduating class, as 247Sports Composite tabs him as the No. 4 overall player (along with being the top player out of the state of Ohio). He has drawn plenty of interest from some top-tier programs, as he already holds offers from the likes of Kentucky, Texas and Baylor to name a few.
Plenty of programs were on-hand to watch Peterson compete in the first 3SSB session for Phenom United. With the way his recruitment is currently going, it wouldn’t be a surprise at all to see plenty of more offers coming his way over the next few months.
