After visiting Butler this week, former UNC basketball player Puff Johnson is set to make another official visit sometime next week.

Former UNC basketball player Puff Johnson has begun the process of making official visits.

His first stop was to a Big East program, while his second looks like he’ll be making his way to visit a notable Big Ten school.

According to Jon Rothstein, Johnson will be visiting Penn State. Johnson’s father told Rothstein that the visit will take place next week.

Johnson is the only Tar Heel left in the transfer portal, as the other players have already found new homes.

Tyler Nickel is on his way to Virginia Tech, Dontrez Styles is Georgetown-bound, Caleb Love looks for a fresh start at Michigan, Justin McKoy will enjoy the Hawaii weather for his final collegiate season while Will Shaver looks for an opportunity at Belmont.

There is plenty of interest in Johnson, who has the size and shooting ability that various programs would love to add to their roster. The main question surrounding the rising senior is whether or not he can stay healthy, as injuries hampered him during his time with the UNC basketball program.

At this point in his recruitment, more visits could be on the way. However, it’s interesting to note that Butler and Penn State appear to be the first two that got to state their case to land the former Tar Heel forward.

Next. Cormac Ryan commits to North Carolina. dark
