Former UNC basketball player Puff Johnson is moving along in his recruitment, as he’s visiting a Big East program this week.
Other than his original announcement and a list of teams that showed interest early on, we haven’t heard much about former UNC basketball player Puff Johnson’s recruitment.
Well, that changed this week, as Johnson is set to make a visit to a Big East program.

The former Tar Heel is scheduled to visit Butler on Wednesday. At this point, it seems as if this is his first official visit since entering the transfer portal.

- Former 4⭐️ HS prospect (71st overall in 2020 class)
- Named Puff because he enjoyed Cocoa Puffs as a kid

The 6-foot-8 forward saw a steady increase in minutes during his time in Chapel Hill, but injuries simply impacted him during those three seasons. As a junior, Johnson was one of the steady contributors off the bench for Hubert Davis’ squad, as he averaged 4.1 points and 2.7 rebounds and just under 16 minutes per contest over his 27 appearances.
Similar to other UNC basketball players from last season’s roster, Johnson is looking for a fresh start to round out his collegiate career.
Will Butler be the school that Johnson ends up with?
