It’s a big couple of days in Chapel Hill for the UNC basketball program, as a highly-touted transfer is expected to visit the campus.

Roll out the Carolina Blue carpets: it’s time to show Harrison Ingram that Chapel Hill is the right place for him.

According to Inside Carolina, Ingram is expected to visit the UNC basketball program over the next few days. He is expected to arrive in Chapel Hill on Wednesday night.

Hubert Davis and North Carolina have been linked to Ingram ever since he entered the transfer portal on April 4. It’s been reported that Davis contacted Ingram shortly after he landed in the portal, as the Tar Heels full coaching staff was in attendance for their in-home visit this past weekend.

In two seasons at Stanford, Ingram averaged 10.5 points, 6.2 rebounds, and 3.4 assists per game. He was named the Pac-12 Freshman of the Year during his first collegiate season.

Ingram is a high-priority target for the Tar Heels, as they could use a player like him at the wing position. With a lot of overhaul coming from last year’s roster, adding Ingram could be a major piece towards the new-look team heading into the 2023-2024 season.

The Tar Heels have plenty of competition for Ingram, as some other top-flight programs are in the mix. However, his official visit to Chapel Hill could play a major role in helping him decide to continue his college career with the UNC basketball program.
