UNC Basketball: RJ Davis named to All-ACC Academic Team
UNC Basketball standout RJ Davis has earned All-ACC Academic Team honors for the 2022-2023 men’s college basketball season.

The UNC basketball standout was among 44 student-athlete recipients for the annual All-ACC Academic Team Award. He is the lone current Tar Heel to earn the honor, as transfer Tyler Nickel was the only other player with connections to the program on the list.
In order to make the All-ACC Academic Team, student-athletes must hold a 3.0-grade point average for the previous semester and a 3.0 cumulative average during their academic career. To add to this, student-athletes must compete in at least 50 percent of their team’s athletic contests throughout the respective season.
Davis has been a steady figure in the UNC basketball program’s starting lineup, as he’s played an integral part in the team’s success over the past three seasons. As he is set to return for his senior season, Davis hopes that he can help lead the Tar Heels back to the NCAA Tournament.
