UNC women’s basketball star Deja Kelly is among the 9 student-athletes who have been invited to Kelsey Plum’s inaugural ‘DAWG Class.’

When WNBA star Kelsey Plum was looking for a new sneaker deal, she was looking for a partnering company that would team up with her to help advocate for the next generation of women’s basketball players.

Plum found that match with Under Armor, and now is prepared to help make her visions a reality.

One of the first efforts that Under Armour will be investing in collaboration with Plum is the launch of the ‘DAWG Class.’ This is a weekend camp for amateur female players that focuses on on-court skills and off-court topics such as mental health, life skills, branding, and media training.

This week, the inaugural class was announced, as UNC basketball star Deja Kelly is among the 9 players that have been selected.

The goal of the camp, which will be held at IMG Academy, will be aimed at helping players, most notably college guards, prepare for the professional level. For Kelly, this will be a great experience, as she’ll be able to not only learn from Plum on the court but will be able to tap into her experience and knowledge to help her prepare for the next level.
