Former UNC Basketball player Will Shaver has heard from multiple schools interested in him playing for them during the 2023-2024 season.

According to Dushawn London, a recruiting analyst with 247Sports, former North Carolina big man Will Shaver has heard from several schools who are interested in his recruitment process.

There are a few schools on this list that may come as a surprise to some UNC basketball fans. Two notable ACC foes, Clemson and Virginia, have expressed interest in the former Tar Heel big man.

We never really got to see much of Shaver as he only made an appearance in three games for the Tar Heels. Over those three appearances, he played a total of two minutes, as he never really saw an extended amount of playing time in Chapel Hill.

Overall, it felt as if he never was going to be a major player for the UNC basketball program. He would’ve most likely been a depth piece, seeing minutes off the bench if he elected to say.

Maybe the Cavaliers or Tigers see potential in Shaver that could benefit either of their programs. For the most part, the other schools on this list are what I think most fans expected when Shaver entered the transfer portal just a few days ago, mid-majors or schools that are coming off average seasons at best.
