After making headlines for his love for their lemon-flavored cookies, UNC basketball standout Pete Nance has earned a NIL deal with Oreo.

It’s finally official: Pete Nance is officially sponsored by Oreo!

The UNC basketball standout announced his new NIL deal on social media, as he’s made major headlines due to his love for the company’s lemon-flavored cookies.

Towards the end of the regular season, a story was told by Hubert Davis about an interaction with his graduate senior. The Tar Heels head coach said the two had a discussion regarding their favorite cookies, and Nance replied that he was a fan of these specific cookies.

Davis used the conversation to motivate Nance, and it worked, as the forward went on to score 22 points in North Carolina’s victory over Virginia.

Not only did it become a trend for the UNC basketball program to make sure Nance has some of his favorite cookies before each game, but the fanbase bought into the trend as well.

Since the story came out, we’ve all waited to see if Oreo would jump on the opportunity to add Nance to a NIL deal. Even though the UNC basketball program’s season is close to an end, it’s cool to see this partnership actually come to fruition.
