The UNC football program has added a commitment to its recruiting Class of 2024, as four-star Davion Gause announced that he’ll be a Tar Heel.

Chapel Hill, North Carolina seemed to make a major impact on four-star recruit Davion Gause.

The Hollywood, Florida native made his first visit to the University of North Carolina over the weekend, as he spent time not only at the UNC/Duke men’s basketball game but also got to watch the UNC football program’s first spring practice.

Now, less than 24 hours after his visit concluded, Gause decided that Chapel Hill is the place for him.

On social media, Gause announced that he will be committing to the UNC football program. He becomes the fourth player from the Class of 2024 to commit to the Tar Heels.

Currently, Gause is viewed by 247Sports Composite as a four-star running back. The 5-foot-11, 215-pound athlete ranks as the No. 40 overall player coming out of the state of Florida.

During his junior season at Chamiande-Madonna Prep, Gause helped lead his team to a state title. He rushed for 1,142 yards while scoring 19 touchdowns, as he averaged an impressive 7.9 yards per carry. His best game came against Plantation American Heritage High School, as he rushed for a season-high 268 yards.

Adding Gause is a nice addition to the UNC football program’s recruiting class, as the hope is that he’ll be the next great runningback to play his college football career in Chapel Hill.
