The Tar Heels’ backcourt duo earned All-ACC Honorable Mention honors, as both players were among 9 players to make the cut.

This marks the second consecutive season in which Love has earned All-ACC Honorable Mention honors. As a junior, Love averaged 16.7, 3.8 rebounds, and 2.8 assists per game while shooting 31.8% from the floor.

Davis earned his first All-ACC selection this season, as he averaged 15.8 points, 5.1 rebounds, 3.3 assists, and 1.1 steals per contest.

The White Plains, New York native improved in nearly every statistical category, as he was one of the conference’s best free-throw shooters (shooting 88.4% from the charity strike). Even while dealing with various injuries, the junior guard still managed to play in all 31 of the Tar Heels contests this season.

Both Love and Davis had their ups and downs this season, as the Tar Heels’ success often rode on what the duo was able to accomplish on the floor. If you look at their overall body of work, both players are deserving of the recognition, as they continue to be important players for the UNC basketball program.
