The 2022-2023 regular season is over, as the UNC basketball program now prepares for this week’s ACC Tournament in Greensboro.

It’s ACC Tournament week in Greensboro, North Carolina, as the conference’s 15 programs will compete to not only win the tournament but earn an automatic bid into this year’s NCAA Tournament.

The UNC basketball program, at this point, is a long shot to make the tournament field, as it looks like their only way in is to win the ACC Tournament.

Can the Tar Heels find a way to win four games in four consecutive days?

Hubert Davis’ team earned the No. 7 seed in the ACC Tournament field, as they avoided playing in the opening round. They await the winner of Tuesday afternoon’s matchup between Boston College and Louisville.

If the Tar Heels can win their second-round contest on Wednesday night, they’ll face Virginia in the quarterfinals the night after. This game would mark the first time the UNC basketball program would play on back-to-back nights since the Phil Knight Invitational back in November (North Carolina went 1-1 in those games).

Of course, anything could happen in postseason play, but the key for the UNC basketball program is to focus on the game ahead of them. If you get caught up in what’s ahead, it could come back to haunt you.

At this point, the Tar Heels’ NCAA Tournament hopes are slim to none, but winning the ACC Tournament gets them right back in the mix. It won’t be easy, to say the least, but we’ll see if this group can string together a couple of victories to make a late-season push.
