After beginning his professional career in Australia, former UNC basketball standout Brady Manek is finishing out the season in Turkey.

In his first season of professional basketball, former UNC basketball standout Brady Manek found a home with the Perth Wildcats.

While playing in Australia, Manek averaged 13.1 points and 5.3 rebounds per game, as he showcased the skills that quickly made him a fan favorite in Chapel Hill.

Even though his season with the Wildcats has come to an end, Manek still has some basketball left to be played.

Manek is heading to Turkey, as he signed a deal with TOFAŞ Spor Kulübü for the remainder of the Turkish Basketball Super League season.

Given his success in Australia, it shouldn’t be a surprise to see Manek finding a new home for the rest of the season with another team. Given his size, ability to stretch the floor, and three-point shooting ability, Manek should be a nice addition to his new squad.

Of course, UNC basketball fans wish that Manek could come back to Chapel Hill for some game action, but it’s great to see him thriving early on in his professional career. Based on what we’ve learned about Manek during his brief stint with the Tar Heels, it’s safe to say that he’ll be an asset wherever his career takes him.
